Jefferson County is fortunate to be in the bulls-eye of the Marcellus and Utica Shale play.  The area has the 4 R’s – river, road, rail, and runway – that are needed to support the growing oil and gas industry in our region. In addition to these invaluable resources, the county has an already developed infrastructure and plenty of housing available for the incoming workers.  Our county is situated just 25 minutes from the Pittsburgh International Airport.
